Hope Harbor police chief Lexie Graham has plenty on her plate raising her son alone and dealing with a sudden rash of petty theft and vandalism in her coastal Oregon hometown. As a result, she has zero time for extracurricular activities—including romance. Ex-con Adam Stone isn't looking for love either—but how ironic is it that the first woman to catch his eye is a police chief? Yet wishing for things that can never be is foolish. Nevertheless, when Lexie enlists Adam's help to keep a young man from falling into a life of crime, sparks begin to fly. And as they work together, it soon becomes apparent that God may have a different—and better—future planned for them than either could imagine.

Favorite season?
Spring. It seems so full of hope.
What's your favorite chore?
A chore, by definition, is something you’d rather not do. So I have no favorites!
What’s one thing you must have/do in the morning?
A cup of hot chocolate and a piece of my homemade bacon/cheese cornbread.

Dorothy got sucked into a tornado.
Alice fell down a hole.
Wendy flew to Neverland.
Kamryn? She tripped down the stairs.
Now, Kamryn Kensington finds herself in a strange new world. Within minutes of her arrival, she dodges an archer’s arrow and avoids getting sliced up by a cosplay reject holding a dagger to her throat. And that’s before the storyteller’s breath brings stories to life.
Home is the mission—to return to her family and pursue her life’s dream of art and travel. Yet the longer she’s in the Land of Ur, the harder it is not to feel for the people she meets. Even her artistic side can’t help but breathe in the beautiful wonder and magic of this new world. So when the Oracle hands her a different quest, she takes it on the condition he sends her home afterward.
No one thought to warn her of a jealous queen and her dragon minions. Or that, by helping her, the cute storyteller would go crazy. Or that her heart would rip in two when she left. Those would’ve been great facts to know ahead of time.
Considering that nothing in Ur is what it seems, the mission proves to be more than she ever imagined. But more than her own future will be in jeopardy if Kamryn doesn’t succeed.

Favorite season?
Spring! Hands down. I love how the world awakens and brightens after the dreary gray of winter. Everything becomes so vibrant and green, not to mention all the beautiful blooms. *sigh*
If you were a superhero, what would be your super power?
Hmm. With so many cool powers out there, it’s hard to choose. But for me, I’d love the power of speed. Not only could I run super fast and visit amazing locations, I would be able to tackle and dominate my mountain of a to-do list in record time. Which would, of course, leave more time for reading, eating chocolate, and creating memories.
If you were stranded on an island what are three things you couldn’t live without?
Necessary items aside (like food, shelter, weapons, etc), I don’t think I could live without lip balm. I can handle having leathery sunbaked skin, but not crunchy lips. Next, I would have to have a hair tie. My curly hair has a mind of its own and requires something to wrangle it in. If hair products aren’t available, a nice strong hair tie would be enough to force it into submission. Lastly, books. Must have them to fully enjoy my tropical environment.

Having escaped Egypt with the other Hebrews during the Exodus, Shira is now living in freedom at the foot of Mt. Sinai, upon which rests the fiery glowing Cloud containing the shekinah glory of God. When the people disobey Yahweh and build a golden idol, the ensuing chaos gives Shira an unexpected opportunity to learn the arts of midwifery. Although her mother wishes for her to continue in the family weaving trade, Shira's gifts shine brightest when she assists with deliveries. In defiance of her mother, Shira pursues her heart's calling to become an apprentice midwife.
When a delivery goes horribly wrong, Shira finds herself bound to a man who betrayed her, the caretaker of three young children, and the target of a vengeful woman whose husband was killed by Shira's people, the Levites. As contention between the Hebrew tribes and the foreigners fans the flames of another dangerous rebellion, Shira will come face-to-face with the heartbreak of her past that she has kept hidden for so long. How can she let go of all that has defined her to accept the love she's denied herself and embrace who she truly is?

What’s one thing you must have/do in the morning?
Coffee. No coffee, no talkie. Of course I usually make it, forget it until its cold, warm it in the microwave, forget it’s again, etc. etc. etc. The kids tease me all the time whenever they find day-old coffee in the microwave.
What are the names of your pets? If you don't have any, what would you name your pets?
We have two cats. A sweet, albeit nervous tabby named Nelliebelle who never lets me out of her sight and Dizzy, a crazy calico who absolutely lives up to her name. She literally bounces off the walls and refuses to let us brush our teeth or wash our hands without standing in the sink to drink from the faucet.
What's one chore you hate doing?
Dishes are the bane of my existence. I have no shame to admit that we use paper plates, utensils and cups 80% of the time. If someone would invent disposable pots and pans I’d be in heaven. Homeschooling is fantastic except for all the extra dishes my kids use during the day.

Journalist Adam Jacobs is on a forced sabbatical on Prince Edward Island. He's also on assignment to uncover a story. Instead he's falling in love with the island's red shores and Caden's sweets.
When Caden discovers Adam isn't who she thought he was, she realizes that the article he's writing could do more than ruin the inn's chances for survival--it might also break her heart.

What's your favorite chore?
I think my favorite chore is washing dishes. As long as they’re not my own. When I visit my family and we have big dinners with all twelve of us (my parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews), I’m always the first to jump up to tackle the dishes. I don’t know why, but it’s become habit. I get to washing and the rest of the family puts the leftovers away. I’m not quite as proactive in my own kitchen. :)
Who is your favorite secondary character?
My very favorite secondary character in my own books is Aretha Franklin—no relation to the singer. She introduces herself like that to everyone she meets, not that anyone would have suspected that the pale, petite islander was related to the famous singer. She first appeared in The Red Door Inn, and I fell in love with her right away. And she’s back in the sequel, Where Two Hearts Meet, just as peppy and fun as ever and intent on seeing the young women she loves settled down with the right men.
Which of your characters do you secretly have a crush on?
I have a crush on all of my heroes in some way, shape, or form. But the one that I always come back to is Tristan Sawyer. He’s a navy SEAL in SEAL Under Siege from Love Inspired Suspense. In the opening scene he rescues the heroine from a Middle Eastern prison, and later in the book he teaches her self-defense. They have an almost-kiss that makes me sigh every time. It’s one of the few books I’ve written that I return to read time and again because swoon.

When Emma begins a relationship with Kyle, an Englischer, Lydia teams up with Kyle’s older brother, Caleb, to keep the couple apart. As Lydia and Caleb spend time together keeping an eye on their siblings, Lydia falls for this forbidden love. Will she stay true to her faith even if it means giving up the man she loves?

Favorite season?
Spring. I love the new green of buds, the pastel shades of spring flowers, the warmth after a cold winter, the smell of the air after it rains. As each new flower pokes up from the ground, it reminds me of hope and promises fulfilled.
Which of your characters do you secretly have a crush on?
I have to admit I’m partial to Caleb, even though he’s an Englischer (non-Amish). He has a generous, giving heart, and he took on caring for his younger brother, Kyle, when their parents died in car accident. He gave up his dreams of being a doctor to be a parent.
My favorite character, though, is Samuel in book 2 of the Sisters & Friends series, Buried Secrets. I crush on guys who are strong but tender. Sam befriends a lively stray dog and tames her through love. He appreciates exuberance in animals and people, so he seems to be the perfect match for Emma. Unfortunately, past secrets stand in the way of their happiness.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
It’s hard to pick a favorite. My goal is to travel to every continent. So far, I’ve been to Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America. I have to say I like Asia best. As a night owl, I never have jetlag when I arrive. Their day is my night, so I was always wide awake during the day. Plus I love the food there – most of it, at least. You can’t beat deep-fried water beetles! They’re delicious. But I do admit didn’t really care for boiled silkworms – too dusty tasting and a bit bitter.
Another favorite place is Italy. For an aspiring artist like me, the museums and churches are to die for. Seeing my favorite artists’ painting and sculpture in real life was amazing. And the Sistine Chapel… No words can describe the awe I felt gazing at the ceiling. Oh, and the food was great there too.
Are you getting the feeling I’m obsessed with food. Maybe I am. The Ultimate Food Fight party I’m doing on Facebook probably proves it. You can join us there tomorrow, May 17, 2016, from 6-10 pm EST: http://bit.ly/1W0vPHz.

Maple Valley became Amelia Bentley's haven after her heart and her dreams of a family were shattered. But her new life as a newspaper editor is shaken when the small-town paper is in danger of closing. Her one hope: A lead on an intriguing story that just might impress the new publisher...if only she new who he was.
After his biggest campaign success yet, widowed speechwriter Logan Walker now has the chance of a lifetime--a spot on a presidential campaign. But his plans are interrupted when he finds out he's inherited his hometown newspaper. He travels home intent on selling the paper and spending some much-needed time with his young daughter before making the leap into national politics.
But instead of a quick sale and peaceful break from his hectic career, Logan finds himself helping Amelia chase her story. She's scrappy, but wounded. He's dependable, but lost. They may butt heads more than expected, but a series of leads on Maple Valley's quirky unsolved mystery is just the start of the sparks that fly in the office and in their hearts.
Get to know Melisssa...
If your book became a movie, who would you cast for your main characters?
Okay, first of all, I would track down the guy who appears on the cover of my book and find out if he has any acting skills whatsoever. Because if so, he is SO the one to play Logan Walker. He looks so much like the Logan in my head, it’s uncanny.
And then I would cast myself as Amelia just so I could play opposite him!
Or, if absolutely forced to pick someone else, I would beg to go back in time and choose one of two classic film actresses: Carole Lombard or Jean Arthur. Either one could be perfect for the role!
Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
London! And not actually because I think it’s the prettiest or even most amazing. I’d have to pick Scotland or somewhere in the Smokey Mountains if I was going with prettiest, most enchanting, most beautiful. But no, I’m picking London because it’s got a crazy special place in my heart. I studied abroad there in college and have been back several times. It stretched me, dazzled me, and captured my heart in so many ways. The best part was the friendships I developed while there. Love, love, love!
Do you have a nickname? Care to share?
Haha yesssss! Soooo…once upon a time, I set a fire at my workplace. In a moment of sheer oblivion, I stuck a travel mug in the microwave…set the timer for three minutes…and left the office kitchen. When I came back…there was smoke…there were flames…there was disaster! Now, the part that always gets left out of the story when coworkers tell it is that I PUT OUT THE FIRE. I really did. But yeah, it completely destroyed the microwave and left black streaks up and down the walls.
And earned me the nickname Sparky which I’m sure I will never, ever shake. :)

Love's Harvest is a fictionalized account of the biblical book of Ruth set during WWII. Noreen Hirsch loses everything, including her husband and two sons. Then her adopted country goes to war with her homeland. Has God abandoned her? Rosa Hirsch barely adjusts to being a bride before she is widowed. She gives up her citizenship to accompany her mother-in-law to her home country. Can Rosa find acceptance among strangers who hate her belligerent nation? Basil Quincey is rich beyond his wildest dreams, but loneliness stalks him. Can he find a woman who loves him and not his money? Three people. One God who can raise hope from the ashes of despair.
Get to know Linda...
Would you rather go to the future or go to the past?
I would definitely rather go to the past. I prefer the simplicity of the non-technological world and could easily live “off the grid.” That’s why I write about the WWII era.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
Without a doubt, I would have to say England. My unpublished trilogy is set in England, and I did a lot of “armchair” research. So when I traveled to England and stood in places where I had written my characters, it was the thrill of a lifetime.
If you were stranded on an island what are three things you couldn’t live without?
My husband because he is like having Davy Crockett around – he would be able to create shelter out of nothing and find edible food, a supply of notebooks and pencils (is that one thing or two) so I can write, and a roll of duct tape because you can use it to make almost anything!

White Rose Publishing, an imprint of: Pelican Book Group Purchase: Northern Light
Civil War has robbed Margaret Logan of all she holds dear, including her beloved New Orleans home and her fiancé. When her family moves to the desolate Bolivar Peninsula to manage a lighthouse that is no longer there, all her hopes for a normal future are dashed.
Her world is rocked once again when a wounded Yankee soldier washes ashore needing her help. Despite her contempt for the North, Margaret falls in love with Thomas Murphy. As their love blooms, Margaret’s sister is overcome with neurosis, and her mind slowly slips away. Bitterness, psychosis and depression yield a decision fueled by contempt. Will one fatal choice cause Margaret to lose the man she loves and condemn Thomas to death?
Get to know Annette...
If your book became a movie, who would you cast for your main characters?
Oh, good question! If I had to choose an actress to play the part of Margaret Logan I would choose, Amy Adams. I fell in love with her as Giselle in the movie, Enchanted. She’s so gorgeous, and I’m probably wrong, but I’ve never heard anything about her in a negative light. My hero, Thomas Murphy, is an Irish immigrant, so I would pick Colin Farrell. He’s Irish, a great actor, and did I mention he’s completely dreamy!
What are the names of your pets? If you don't have any, what would you name your pets?
How did you know I was a dog lover? My oldest dog is a nine-year-old Weimaraner I rescued from the animal shelter named Max. My other dog is a year old Jack Russell Terrier mix. I rescued him from a bad home situation. His name is Jay. I’m also the proud grandmother of my son and his fiancé’s Chi-weenie named Charlie, and my daughter’s Chihuahua mix named Tris. They’re both rescue dogs too!
Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
I love the beach and have been going to Texas beaches all my life. But the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever traveled to (and my favorite) are in the Caribbean. Two recent cruises have taken me to beaches in Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; Belize City, Belize; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and The Grand Cayman Island.

If there’s one thing Gillian Hodge never wants to see again, it’s a man on a motorcycle. Her last encounter with one left her right hand crushed, ending her promising career as a concert pianist. Unsure about the next phase in her life, she heads to Rainbow’s End Resort for some R&R when a sudden thunderstorm causes a motorcycle to crash right in front of her.
When TJ Benjamin’s wife died, he lost more than his best friend; he lost his faith. He has spent the past year wandering the country on his motorcycle, trying not to think about the future. When he finds himself stranded with a busted bike and a reluctant rescuer, he has to wonder about God’s sense of humor.
As these broken people collide, they find that a bright future is still ahead—it just might not be the one they imagined for themselves.

Favorite season?
Spring. I love seeing the rebirth of so many plants, and the longer days make my heart sing with joy.
What's your favorite chore?
I think I may be cheating here, but my answer is cooking. The reason I say I may be cheating is that while some people – my mother included – consider preparing meals a chore, it’s something I really enjoy. I think it’s fun to try new recipes, tweaking them to make them healthier. Of course, washing the dishes afterwards is much less fun.
What's one chore you hate doing?
Vacuuming. Without a doubt, vacuuming. I hate dragging the vacuum cleaner around, and the fact that it’s noisy makes it even worse. The only good thing I can say is that the carpets look better once they’ve been vacuumed.

Danger and disappointment plague all their journeys to the far North. Will Vivian find her sister in time to return home to see their father? Can Ginny forgive herself for the decisions she's made? Will Ben find the lifelong love he searches for? When the world listens only to the call of gold, redemption and love become scarce treasures.

Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
Paris, the city of love. The history and architecture of its buildings amazed me and the kindness and generosity of its people thrilled me.
Which of your characters do you secretly have a crush on?
The main male character in my novel All That Glitters portrays a lot of the same characteristics as my husband (but a lot less stubborn). I have a crush on both of them.
Coffee or tea?
Coffee, absolutely! Tea keeps me awake for days. My favourite latte is Crème Brulee.

Purchase: A Season to Love
At this point in her life, bravery is not a trait Willa Hart would readily claim. She believes her seven-year-old daughter, Savannah, who never knew her father and successfully tackled chemotherapy, is truly the courageous one. Yet after Willa has a fateful encounter with handsome young doctor Patrick McCade, her outlook—and her view of herself—begins to change.
Patrick, a thrill-seeking world traveler and temporary resident of Lenox, Oregon, sets out to show Willa the value of adventure, even within her tiny town. But just when their friendship shows signs of turning into something more, Patrick’s life as a traveling doctor calls him back. Will his last days in town signal the end of their journey, or will Patrick and Willa find the courage to transform a single season into a lifetime?

What are the names of your pets?
We have a new little golden doodle puppy who is stinkin' adorable. His name is Warner, named after one of my favorite fictional heroes. (From the YA series Shatter Me.)
If you were stranded on an island which three things couldn't you live without?
I'll list them in order of importance:
1. My husband (kinda like that guy)
2. A charged kindle (to remain charged because this is a magical island, right?)
3. Music (preferably from my Spotify channel)
Favorite place you've ever traveled?
When I was twenty-one I joined a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base in Queensland, Australia. I lived there for six months and had the opportunity to travel to Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Zealand. And though I consider Australia my heart country, New Zealand is definitely the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I can't wait to go back!

Russell Cahill can’t believe his father is demanding he marry the feisty redhead. The sharpshooting female would only add to his troubles, but how does one argue with a gun and an attraction he's fought to ignore?
Sparks fly. Secrets surface. Loss threatens.
Will a dream for love shatter forever, or will the pair find a marriage worth lock, stock, and barrel?

What actor/actress would play you if your life was a movie?
Either Poppy Montgomery or Scarlett Johansson. (I’d pick Maureen O’Hara, but there’s a bit of an age discrepancy, not to mention she died last year. :D )
Actress Emily Van Arsdale has returned to her Idaho hometown - with an entire film crew in tow! With its stunning scenery and reputation for hosting celebrities, Sun Valley is the perfect setting for Emily’s newest romantic comedy. Tracen Lake is happy to work as a stunt consultant for the movie but not as thrilled to deal with a bunch of high-maintenance Hollywood types. But Tracen is surprised to discover in Emily a down-to-earth Idaho girl who does all her own stunts and loves the outdoors. As filming wraps up and Emily heads off to her next gig, will she be able to leave Sun Valley - and Tracen - behind?
Get to know Angela...
If your book became a movie, who would you cast as the main characters?I love this question because my book IS being considered for production as a movie. (http://www.beliefnet.com/columnists/faithmediaandculture/2012/07/mpi-to-bring-popular-love-finds-you-book-series-to-television.html)
My main character, Emily Van Arsdale, is a stunt woman who ends up acting and becomes famous for playing the role of Wonder Woman. As Wonder Woman is coming out soon, I would be tickled pink to have the same actress, Gal Gadot, play the part of Emily. As for Tracen Lake, the rafting guide, I wrote him with Josh Duhamel in mind.
Who is your favorite secondary character?
Tracen grew up with four brothers, and I've decided to write his little brothers' romances as part of a new series titled Resort to Love. Currently I'm working on Finding Love in Big Sky, Montana, which is about Josh, but the youngest brother Sam keeps trying to steal the show. His romance is next--Finding Love in Park City, Utah--and with as much personality as Sam has, it's going to be a doozy. Sam returned from serving in the Army overseas just in time to give his brothers unwanted relationship advice, which is funny because he's a free spirit who refuses to settle down. But don't worry. After fighting forest fires over the summer and helping out Josh as a ranch hand, I'm pretty sure he'll meet his match in the reporter who keeps trying to get past him to interview his sister-in-law Emily at the Sundance Film Festival.
Favorite place you've traveled?
Traveling is one of my favorite parts of writing. Either I'm inspired by a place I visit and I want to set a story there, or I research a setting for my story and I want to travel there. Last year the most fascinating place I visited was a mission in inner city San Francisco started by Roger Huang. You can read about it in the book Chasing God. Life changing. I had a whole story plotted when I left, but I've had to put it on hold for a couple other projects. In a week I'm heading to the Sundance Film Festival to research for Sam's story. Friend me on facebook to find out if I run into anyone famous!
I had Dani Pettrey on the blog last week and she offered up a copy of her new release, Cold Shot, as a giveaway! We've got one lucky winner....

If you were a superhero, what would be your super power?
I think my answer to this might change depending on the season I’m in, but lately I’ve been in an incredibly busy season, so I’d have to say, the ability to clone myself. Imagine what I’d get done with four Jennifers. Hm… Not sure my family could handle so much of me, though. I might have to get back to you on this one.
Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
This is another question that has changed and will in the future, but for now I’d for sure say Seattle. My husband and I spent a week on the waterfront for our 20th anniversary, and it was such fun and so incredibly romantic. It came at the perfect time—at the end of a tight deadline and before another busy season, so it was a much needed time to relax, unwind, and reconnect. Plus, Seattle is where we first fell in love, so it was incredibly special to return, after two decades of marriage. Man, is love awesome!
What’s one thing you must have/do in the morning? If it’s a combined experience, can I share two things? I absolutely must start my day with coffee and my Bible, and this is usually a 30-45 minute experience. I’m not ready to face my day until I’ve had both.
