Kings Falling is exciting, thrilling, twisty-turny, and is guaranteed to keep you up at night reading (in the best way).
In this book 2 of her Book of the Wars series we find ourselves dropped into the middle of the action started from book 1 (no surprise there). But there are a few changes...
*First off, there could be mild spoilers in here for you with Book 1 SO be sure you've read it before moving on in my review*
First off, Iskra has joined the team (mostly) and I love her involvement with them as well as with Leif! Per usual, there's not much time to settle in though before we hit the ground running in a race to stop the Armageddon Coalition and to save the world!
I love how Ronie is able to balance the action along with the character development of the team and of the main characters. I also love how this book takes you ALL over the place! The beauty of being a part of Reaper!
All in all, it's everything you've come to expect from a Kendig novel. Fast paced, thrilling, and action-forward, but not without heart and emotional entanglements that make life (and reading) interesting!
If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for?
My rating: 5*

Tower of Kendig from @createexploreread |
Leif Metcalfe and his team, dubbed Reaper, need to recover the stolen, ancient Book of the Wars if they hope to stop the Armageddon Coalition and their pursuit of global economic control. But their attention has been diverted by a prophecy in the book that foretells of formidable guardians who will decimate the enemies of ArC. While Iskra Todorova uses her connections in the covert underworld to hunt down the Book of the Wars, Leif and Reaper attempt to neutralize these agents but quickly find themselves outmaneuvered and outgunned.
The more Reaper tries to stop the guardians, the more failure becomes a familiar, antagonistic foe. Friendships are fractured, and the team battles to hold it together long enough to defeat ArC. But as this millennia-old conspiracy creeps closer and closer to home, the implications could tear Leif and the team apart.

I received this book for free but was under no obligation to post a review. I do so under my own motivation and the opinions I have expressed in this review are honest and entirely my own.
