About Me

Hello and welcome to my writing blog!  I have to clarify the type of blog because I really enjoy blogging and have a few other blogs that highlight things I enjoy like photography and cooking/crafting.  I guess you could call me a jill-of-all trades or, as I've gotten more recently, a renaissance woman!  I don't know how accurate that is, but I do enjoy all sorts of creative things and these blogs are my outlet.

As for Create Explore Read, I have chosen to focus on all things related to writing: reading, books, author interviews, book reviews, and my own personal writing journey. My faith is found in Jesus and, because of that, everything I write filters through that lens. Being a photographer as well, I enjoy lens analogies :)

I'm not sure what else you need to know about me... I grew up in a small town. I love reading and have been known to finish a book in a day when I have the time. I also write fiction - I've finished about 10 books though they all need editing - and it is my desire to be published one day.  I live in Northern California, though I spent 6 years in Southern California, lived in Washington, D.C. for 2 years, and Dayton, Ohio for one year.

I also run a few online shops that sell fun bookish items also under the name Create Explore Read (which is also the name of my Instagram: @createexploreread). www.instagram.com/createexploreread I enjoy creating designs whether it's for my shops or for my cover design business, and have loved seeing my bookmarks, mugs, buttons, and other products in fun, creative pictures on Instagram!

Check out my shops:

Other than that, I really am just a small town girl that loves the written word and hopes to share her thoughts with those that would read them.

There are several ways you can be involved on my blog as well...

  1. Hello there, I found you via focb directory. Look forward to having a look at your blogs :) Have a wonderful Christmas. Tara.

    1. Hello Tara and thanks for stopping by! I hope you come around often :)

  2. Hi Emilie!

My name is Morgan. I saw your post about B&Bs on ACFW and had to check out your blog. It seems we have a lot in common. Believers in Christ, young single women from small towns, avid readers, aspiring authors...I live in Louisiana though. :)

I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I blog about travel and the writing life at www.pensonaworldmap.com. Well hello and if I can give you any B&B insight please email me. (I sent you an email as well.)

    1. Hey Morgan - thanks so much for stopping by! We DO have a lot in common! Love that the Lord places people together in a way that they can mutually encourage one another :) Hope to see you here on the blog again soon!

  3. Great to get to know you a bit more, Emilie!

  4. The case dimensions fake IWC are great, and the comfort is excellent, but the lines of the case are what really make the watch pop. The fake Franck Muller actual case shape is conservative (by Doxa standards), but the brushed mid-case with a wide, high-polish sloping bevel fake Vacheron Constantin running from lug-end to lug-end gives the watch a refined, finished look that also helps reduce the visual heft of the 42mm case. It’s a replica watches gorgeous case, with finishing that belies its price.
Keeping with the vintage theme, the replica watches uk SUB 200 foregoes crown guards and instead utilizes a stout, screw-down crown that is slightly inset into the mid-case. The fake rolex crown is signed with a painted Doxa orange fish logo — a design choice I don’t love. I see where Doxa was replica rolex coming from since orange is the brand’s signature color, but it doesn’t work on this colorway or, I would argue, any other colorway fake watches than the orange “Professional” model. It’s easy to ignore and isn’t noticeable on the wrist, but it rolex replica remains a head-scratcher.
