Favorite book...
I love classical literature and I've read books from numerous ages and cultures, but I have to say that my favorite is The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Most people only know of Inferno, the writer's journey through the rings of Hell, and while it is indeed a masterpiece, it is complimented by the other legs of his journey, Purgatorio and Paradiso. I do not subscribe to Dante's Catholic theology and the Bible does not support a place like Purgatory, but I am captivated by Dante's imagery and emotion. His descriptions of Heaven are as glorious as Hell is horrifying. Despite his shaky theology, Dante put into poetic form the terrors of sin and the rapture of God's presence in a way that no one has ever done.
Favorite place you've traveled to...
I've had the privilege to visit several places around the world (East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Mexico). I even spent almost nine years living in China. My absolute favorite place is Vienna, Austria, the home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I will never forget the splendors of St. Stephen's Cathedral or Schönbrunn Palace. I love Medieval architecture and Vienna made my jaw drop around every corner.

I am something of an amateur barber. As a student in college, I decided to start cutting my own hair and have been doing so for more than 15 years. My dorm room became a barbershop with almost daily customers, men and woman. My children have never had their hair cut by anyone but me. I estimate that I've saved a couple of thousands of dollars over the years this way.
