What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
I loved traveling to England with my author friend, Cathy Gohlke. The most beautiful area we visited was the Lake District. There are several lakes surrounds by high hills and valleys with lovely farms and quaint villages. We toured Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top Farm, and I fell in love with it. We walked through the rooms and saw the settings for many of the illustrations in her beloved children’s stories. The gardens were beautiful too. I want to go back and see it all again!
What’s your favorite season?
Spring is my favorite time of the year. It’s so encouraging to see my flower gardens bloom again after a long cold winter. First come the snowdrops and crocus, then the daffodils, and finally the bright red tulips and blue grape hyacinth. With warmer temperatures I can enjoy walks around the lake near our house and spend more time outdoors.

Oh this is such a hard question . . . can I please name a few? These are some of the special books that I’ve read several times: Promise Me This by Cathy Gohlke, Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson, My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
