Would you rather go to the future or go to the past?
I would rather go to the past. I mean, who wouldn’t right? Visit all those old places and see stories unfold before your eyes! I’d want to spend a day with Nathaniel Hawthorne, the classic writer of The Scarlett Letter or my personal favorite of his: The House of Seven Gables. But I’d also like to spend a day in my hometown and traverse its historic streets, mingle with its upper echelons, and work in the woolen mill with its hardworking lower class.

What are the names of your pets? If you don't have any, what would you name your pets?
I have two cats (I’ll be an old cat-lady someday!). Maddie, is a black cat with yellow eyes and a lover-kitty. Ivy, is a gray calico with spit and vinegar and a heart of loyalty that would challenge any dog! I also have four frogs. Actually, my KIDS have four frogs and I am their sole caregiver. Also, I do not take responsibility for their names. Our leopard frogs are: Hottie (ahem. Again, not my idea), and Gia. Our tree frogs are: Lily and Booey.

If you were stranded on an island what are three things you couldn’t live without?

Coffee. Definitely coffee. My family. Cause, let’s face it, without my little Peter Pan I’d be completely lost, and my Tinkerbell Co-Co is my soulmate in mischief, and, well, Cap’n Hook is scrappy and rougish and you sort of need that personality on a deserted island. My Kindle. I’ve enough books on there to keep me occupied for at least a year.

Favorite season?
Summer. I like heat. Unless it’s a hot flash, then I want AC immediately. But otherwise, I like heat.

What's your favorite chore?
Favorite and chore should not be in the same sentence. But if I had to choose something, grocery shopping. On an empty stomach. In one of those stores where there’s a tasting booth on every aisle. And they don’t mind you coming back for seconds. Or thirds. I think you get the idea.

What’s one thing you must have/do in the morning?
After a quick stop in the bathroom (TMI) then I turn to my devotions. Right now I’m working on a devotion book called Transformation: 365 daily readings that will change your life. I’m writing it one day at a time as I travel through the Bible chronologically.
